Christian Science Military Weekend is held ever other year over Labor Day Weekend for all U.S. military personnel. Active duty, reserve, and retired military men and women who practice Christian Science, and Christian Scientists whose spouses are in the military, are all invited. Spouses and family members who aren’t Christian Scientists are welcome to attend.
Surrounded by Michigan’s Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Military Weekend at Camps Leelanau and Kohahna provides a gorgeous setting filled with fun activities, excellent food, and time to get to know other military men and women!

Getting to Camp
Camps Leelanau & Kohahna is located in beautiful northern Michigan, just a four hour drive from Detroit and six hour drive from Chicago. You can either fly into Traverse City’s Cherry Capital Airport or Grand Rapids’ Gerald Ford Airport for pick-up and return by camp staff. Contact our Office Manager with questions regarding travel including potential carpooling.
