Harvest Weekend for Women

2023 Harvest Weekend for Women: October 6 – 9

This annual weekend program for Christian Science women is an occasion to enjoy a weekend filled with unique opportunities. Quiet time, walks along the beach, evening bonfires, hiking the sand dunes, canoe trips, trying a high ropes course or the camp climbing wall, or enjoying an evening in front of the fire singing hymns are some of the activities enjoyed at Harvest Weekend. Wonderful meals, warm cabins, and fall colors all work to create a weekend women will treasure.

Check-in begins at our farm house office at 3 p.m. Friday and you don’t want to miss our first meal together. Meet in the Great House at 6:15. Monday we meet for breakfast at 8. Afterwards we finish up our weekend projects with check-out no later than 11 a.m. Click here to get a more detailed idea of what a Harvest Weekend looks like: Example Harvest Schedule.

Fruitage from Harvest

“Fun! I was having just plain good fun, and quickly realized that I don’t allow for enough fun in my “regular” life. All in one day I had done ski walking, a zip line, the climbing wall, the high ropes course, and archery. My favorite was the high ropes course. I had heard about them, seen them, but had never had an opportunity to actually be on one. I saved arts and crafts for the next day, and still found time for several outdoor activities. I’m the “chief cook” at home, so having someone else provide excellent meals was another treat. Until my first Harvest Weekend, I’d never spent any time in Michigan, and this, my second year, was even better than the first. Since I had not had the opportunity to attend camp as a child, this was a very special time for me. The camaraderie with a group of Christian Science women was delightful. The staff members appreciated our presence and contributed so much to the experience. I have a great appreciation for all who work to make this available to women of all ages.”

Gratitude for the Staff and Participants

Thank you for renewing my energy to be my authentic self. Thank you for permission to slay those imaginary dragons that would tell me to keep quiet, don’t try, or to go with the flow. Harvest Weekend gave me the space to consciously allow infinite creative ideas that were swirling within to steam up and pour out.”

“Thank you for the support and guidance during Harvest. I had a wonderful time and I am looking forward to attending next year. I am already thinking of friends and relatives to invite. Thank you too for the loving staff. It truly was a blessing to share the experience.”

“Love to all the staff and participants for all the encouragement, kindness, and love demonstrated this weekend. The church service was a bonus! I received readings needed for my own demonstration.”
