For cabin day, Tortuga and Barbados went to Empire beach and South Bar Lake. The playground at Empire Beach was really fun. Then we went across the street to South Bar Lake where we played keep away foot ball in the lake. It is cool how everyone puts in 110% and still has great sportsmanship. I loved the first cabin day of the four week session!!!

Strike! Another year at the Ole Ball game, the classic battle of north vs. south, culminating into a meal of hot dogs and brats, a few junior competitions and of course the Ole Ball Game. Another year of great sportsmanship and teamwork led to a great night of fun. Although north had a slight advantage; both teams played hard and that’s what made it so much fun. With a short break to sing original versions of take me out to the ball game we played one final inning by the fading sun light. We all gathered in the middle of the diamond for a stand up and cheer and made our way back to camp. What a great competition here at the Ole Ball game.

I love camp. Every year I’m so excited to see the beautiful sites of Michigan. I also look forward to seeing friends and getting a lot of inspiration. When I leave camp, I come home as a new person. Camp is also a great place to recharge and be ready for the next school year. I love camp and I think everyone should come and get this amazing experience.
