SEASONAL POSITION

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals committed to studying Christian Science to work with boys and girls ages 6 to 17 in the coming summer.

We appreciate having applications by January 15th at the latest. If you have been a Leelanau or Kohahna counselor before, please complete the Returning Counselor Application (you will need 3 fresh references ONLY if you haven’t worked at Camps Leelanau & Kohahna for the past year or longer). If you haven’t been a Leelanau or Kohahna counselor before, please complete the New Counselor Application (linked below). As a new counselor, you will need 3 references: 1 from a dedicated Christian Scientist, 1 personal reference, and 1 from a teacher, professor, or employer.

We have positions available beginning as early as January, but most begin June 1st. We are looking for Cook’s Helpers and Dishwashers. Generally, these positions begin in June and end mid to late August. There is potential employment through mid-October. Each position involves a revolving schedule including weekends. Job Description

SEASONAL POSITION

We are looking for university students and recent grads who are interested in gaining professional experience in the field of outdoor education and learning all aspects of running an outdoor center. This is a 15-week internship (full semester) starting January 17 through mid-May with one week off for Spring Break. Interns will work on the LOC Staff while we are in season and while we are out of season, interns will work with the LOC Director and other departments on projects around camp as well as complete a research project of their choosing. There will also be the possibility of being hired to finish the spring programming season after the semester is over.

SEASONAL POSITION (WINTER, SPRING, FALL)

We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, and fun-loving Christian Scientists to work with school and corporate groups. Our Winter season starts mid-January and goes through early March, the Spring season is mid-April through mid-June, and our fall season is mid-August through the end of October. In addition to an application, you will be asked to provide 3 references.
