About Us

Camps Leelanau and Kohahna are operated by a dedicated group of Christian Scientists and steer their comprehensive camping programs for young people with a Spiritual Bedrock of Shepherd Inspired Leadership, from which we teach our participants to Overcome Limitations, Love Their Neighbor, Take Joy in Doing Right, Serve Humbly, and Love Their True Nature.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide exceptional camp programs that cultivate Christian character and leadership qualities based on the practical demonstration of Christian Science.

Campers and counselors work individually and collectively at their level of understanding to demonstrate the principles of Christian Science as presented in the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Here at Camp we focus on working out from a spiritual bedrock of shepherd inspired leadership where campers are encouraged to grow in overcoming limitations, loving their neighbor, loving their own true nature, taking joy in doing right, and humbly serving their community.
