Hey Y’all! Drew Bosman here and I’m pumped to be at Camp once again. I reside in Glen Arbor and just finished my sophomore year at the University of South Carolina. This summer I’ll be one of the Head Counselors helping make sure Weldon drives the bus safely. I’m stoked for a great summer of playing games out at the beach. The lake does inspire me as many people have told me I look similar to Logan Lerman from Percy Jackson.

My name is Aaron Nutwell and I am thrilled to be back at camp this summer! I am graduating from Principia College in May of this year, so I spend most of my time in Elsah/St. Louis. I will be the CT counselor and a Trips counselor this summer, and I couldn’t be more excited to spend my summer in the beautiful outdoors with the fellas. My name is Leif Arthur and I’m from Missouri or Missoura if you’re a real local from the ozarks, I am currently traveling and trying out for some fun certifications like swift water rescue to broaden my experience. I’ll be trips counselor again this summer and I am very excited to be working along side Aaron and do some awesome trips with the campers

Waterfront Director

Hi, my name is Ethan Hoff. I am at Principia College as an ecosystems management major. While I have been living in Elsah, Illinois, this past year, I call St. Louis, Missouri, my home. I am very excited to say that I am the waterfront director. This means you will see me patrolling the beach and the lake. I can't wait to see the campers learn to grow through fun but difficult activities, and for brotherly love to be a constant support for everyone. My doppelganger is Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings.

Hello, my name is Mark Nutwell and I live in St. Louis and attend Principia College where I will be a sophomore this year. I am really excited to teach Border Camp this summer! I will be teaching campers how to build fires, tie knots, and improve their camping skills. My celebrity doppelgänger is definitely Mark-E-Mark Wahlberg.

Hi, my name is Reed Risner and I am from Saint Louis, Missouri. I am entering sophomore year at Santa Clara University in California. This year I will be teaching archery and tennis. I am so excited for camp this summer because it will be another fun summer with tons of growth. Some people say my celebrity doppelganger is a young Leonardo Dicaprio.

My Name is Derek Schauman, and I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I am a business administration major at Principia College.  This summer, I will be teaching Mountain Biking and Rock climbing. I am stoked to be a counselor again at Camp Leelanau because of the brotherly love expressed and the memories every kid and counselor make, rooted in Christian Science. My celebrity look-alike is Kid Laroi, just taller and more handsome, of course.

School: I attend Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Tx. I am attending SFA for a major in Construction Management. 

Activity: I will be teaching Horseback Riding and Blacksmithing. 

Excitement: I am so incredibly excited to come back to camp to improve as a Christian Scientist and help my future campers do the same.

Silversmithing

My name is Noah Fairbanks I currently live in Edmond, Oklahoma. I’ll be teaching silversmithing this summer and am excited to share my passion for craftsmanship and creativity with campers.

After two long years away, I’m beyond excited to return to camp a place I consider my second home. I’ve missed the energy, the traditions, and most of all, the people I call my brothers. Being back means reconnecting, making new memories, and helping create an unforgettable experience for the campers.

I can’t wait to jump back in, build meaningful relationships, and make this summer one to remember for everyone involved.

Hi I’m Bennett Ponder. My home is in the New Hampshire woods and I am a senior in high school. The first time I went sailing I was 12 and absolutely fell in love with it. So I am super excited to come back to camp and be able to pass on the joy of sailing to all the campers. I don’t know very many celebrities, so everyone will have to tell me who they think my celebrity doppelgänger is.

I just finished my first year of college at Grand Valley State University, and I am very excited to be returning to camp for the summer as a counselor! Clark Shutt.  The man, the legend, is coming back to serve at Camp Leelanau & Kohahna.  We should all aspire to have the humility and grace to return to Camp as a retirement job and serve as needed.  This summer Clark will be teaching Riflery to Kohahna and Nature to Leelanau.  He’ll also be schooling many young men in a little game called Mumblypeg!  We are honored to have him home!
